At what point/battle would Commonwealth armored regiments have switched over from the 24, 25, 26 designations to 40,86,67? Would Commonwealth armored regiments maintain the latter through Tunisia? Sicily?

I have the old Bradford book on markings for North Africa 1940-1943 and realize more than a few errors. Anyone suggest a good resource, book/website, with marking information on this period? I do have the FOW Afrika and Desert Rats books which are some help for late.

The only stuff I can find is the 40, 86, 67 AoS numbers were in use from 21st September 1941.

6th Armoured Division used AoS 51, 52 etc. from April 1943.

I'm sure there'll be someone along with more useful info.
