Still doesn't address the water needs. During the field op they should snack each hour if possible and drink one half to one quart of fluid each hour. Being somewhat realistic, 20 hours awake every day means a minimum of 10 quarts of water per troop. |

Yea, only problem is, that's an extra 20 pounds of weight for that added hydration. Perhaps if they were to improve the taste of them, that might go a long way towards their utility. |

Perhaps if they were to improve the taste of them, that might go a long way towards their utility. The current generation is honestly pretty good, as long as you avoid anything with 'vegetarian meat crumbles'. |

Since I was in the armor, later QM, the weight of meals and water was never an issue. |
