I was recently blessed with the opportunity to visit the Shiloh Military Park in Southwest Tennessee with my dad. I've visited several ACW battlefields over the years including Manassas, Gettysburg, and Antietam and I have to say this is one of the nicest parks I've been to.

Its been almost 20 years since I've been there. It was a very nice park then. What surprised me was how small the battlefield is.

Yes, it is a great park to visit. I've long maintained that the best way to truly understand a battle is to see the ground where it was fought and Shiloh is no exception.

Been to parts of it myself. Even tented to the southwest of the park boundary during a 150th anniversary reenactment in 2012.
