It's been ages, 3 years since we ECW'ed so it's been great to get these chaps out on the table again.

I've split the game into two posts, this one has the orbats and a video of the set up and a bit of background on the game in general.

Really nice Ken, did you have a go at using Swedish brigade for the ROYALISTS?

Cheers, I don't think the training levels and experience of the troops at Edgehill would allow the use of the Swedish brigade. Most troops this early in the war struggled with getting their muskets the right way round !

Prince Rupert is recorded as being a big fan of it but for me it's too early.

Great looking set up! I think there is some suggestion that Rupert persuaded his uncle to use the Swedish formation, over-ruling the actual Royalist general, who left in a huff. I agree it was probably not a good choice for such raw troops, especially as they had not been drilling with it.
