Has anyone purchased and used the West Wind, 28mm, WWII vehicle crews for their 1/48th – 1/50th scale Kubelwagens, Schwimmwagens, and Halftracks? I'm thinking they might work okay, if perhaps being slightly small. Then again, depending upon the heft of the minis, they might be perfect too. I'm especially interested in the German halftrack machine gunner, since he's a one-piece casting, with integral LMG attached to his body. I'm thinking he may be perfect, or close to that, for putting behind the armored shields of some SdKfz 251s. Thoughts? |

I have bought both German and American vehicle and halftrack crews from WW. They are tiny because they're from WW's old Berlin or Bust line designed for their 1/60 vehicles so didn't work for my 1/48 or 1/50 vehicles. I never bought into 1/56 scale so can't comment on that. I would suggest Die Waffenkammer (JTFM) if your vehicles are 1/48 – 1/50. They fit much better than the WW ones. |

I don't use 1/48, but overall I agree with 28mm Fanatik. To crew a 1:56 Kubel I tried both, but thought the JTFM driver looked a lot better. |
