"A quick post for today – this is the completed Meng "World War Toons" King Tiger. I reviewed this tank (along with the Tiger I) back in January. For a kit that cost me less than $15 USD, I'm abundantly pleased with it. For modelers, these are either good AFVs to learn on (for beginners) or a nice change of pace (for veterans). For gamers, unlike the previous Tiger I, this model scales relatively well with 28mm and would make an interesting tank for Weird WW2, Pulp, or Retro Sci-Fi games. With the exception of the tracks being an extremely tight fit, it was quick and fun to build and allowed me to try out some new weathering effects I hadn't done before…"

Interesting that they chose the much less common "Porsche" turret rather than the "Henschel"…OK both are misnomers but we all know what I mean.

It is actually a great model and brilliantly painted. Maybe I am a spoilsport but I keeping wondering why didn't they just….OH forget it.

It's non-scale but here's a top down pic next to a 1/48 King Tiger. As befits a Chibi tank it's shorter but taller:

and King or Royal Tigers really did carry the cross on the turret?

I am now going back over 40 years (nearer 50 actually) to where I recall that from? Funny I occasionally now cannot remember the name of the folk next door, but can rattle off almost every Allied Unit at Waterloo…….

The skill that went into painting this model is simply amazing. It is so incredibly realistic…. but for what is a fantasy construction…I am missing something here. Maybe I need to expand my horizons. Truly great work…
