So, anyone else come up with some House Rules for this game, and/or stat mods for the vehicles?

Seems to me for the latter, that the Jagdpanzer IV L/48 should have armor at least as good as the StuG III G, given the former's similar armor and better sloping profile. Seems like it might even be almost as good as the Jagdpanther, especially if one considers the JgPz IVs much smaller size (harder to hit).

Why doesn't the Jagdpanther get "Iron Fist" like the Tiger II does, since it has the same gun and barrel length?

Also, seems to the the Tiger II should get a "heavy armor" rating, if the Tiger I does. Perhaps add "slow vehicle" to it also, given the King Tiger's size, weight, and power to weight ratio.

Thoughts on the above.

I'm also thinking perhaps vehicles on the defensive might get bonuses for acquiring and aiming against attackers moving in the open, if lying in ambush – bonuses for: initiative, acquiring, and aiming, perhaps?

Anyone tried adding in vehicle crew skill levels too, say for crossing easy and hard terrain?

Roll poorly, and fail to succeed. That might work for other things too, like for the tank ace bonus, e.g. in aiming and firing as well, when rolling 2D6s.

Other house mods you use, or are considering using?

I'm sure you can modify it any way you want. They are your rules now.
The points seem to balance the game pretty well. If you adjust a tank up or down, change the point value also, to maintain that balance.

For instance, add 'Iron Fist' and then add the 2 or 3 points value to it.

AT guns would be a nice addition.

One quick way of using AT guns would be to have the gun rated as the tank equivalent, and the tank destroyer attribute.
Move would allow the gun to relay as a turret move.

I would have armour as 3, with no chance of 'Buttoning up'

Many would be 'Small' and/or 'Low Profile', but that should be on a case by case basis!

Thanks for the replies.

Herkybird has good points on the A/T guns. I've read you need one die for each 60 degrees of turning desired.

Thought I read someone else proposing armor as a "2" but not 100% sure about that.

Yep, most guns, even the late-war German 88s would/should be "small" (not the big 88mm AA gun, with the large, barn door armored shield).
