Today I posted the following message on the Yahoo Ironclads Group. Any readers on TMP who are a member of this group please read and take note of Yahoo's timeline I've copied at the end of my message here regarding closing all Yahoo Discussion Groups. "For quite some time we have experienced a decline in participation although our overall number of members has been climbing. Discussions and files postings have been way down and about two years ago there was still a consensus to continue the group. (Personally, and as one of two group moderators, I have found it increasingly difficult to even sign in, although Yahoo has continued to send me message batches as they appeared.) I have long suspected that Yahoo was eventually going to severely alter or discontinue the Yahoo Groups program and that will occur soon – please see the copied message below I have recently received from Yahoo. Some of you are probably aware of this event already, but this kind of makes it official. As moderator I do not plan to pull the plug on the group before Yahoo's own schedule as stated below. My message to all members who may see this posting is to take a careful look in the photo and files section in case you wish to copy and save any item(s) there you want to keep as by this coming December all will be gone. (Please also note that after 27 October no more postings on the Group will be allowed.) I have enjoyed immensely the opportunity given to me to be the moderator of this fantastic group for so many years. Thank you David Sullivan for originally setting up the group and subsequently turning it over to me. Should this be my last message to you all before the end I would like to thank you all,,,,,keep the study and learning about ‘Ironclads' going. Good luck and good bye to you all! Toby Barrett Portsmouth, Virginia USA" Official Notice From Yahoo: "Yahoo has made the decision to no longer allow users to upload content to the Yahoo Groups site. Beginning October 28, you won't be able to upload any more content to the site, and as of December 14 all previously posted content on the site will be permanently removed. You'll have until that date to save anything you've uploaded." |

Where are you relocating? |

I don't believe he intends to relocate the group. It will be ending when Yahoo shut it down. |

Perhaps a facebook page for Ironclads would be a good idea. |
