Just working on a Champion Hill scenario board, which i will show next year on several german CON´s beside
the Vicksburg campaign rules (this with a game mat).

The Vicksburg campaign game mat

And the Champion Hill gameboard (still in work), with units, to see, how it would looks like.
So far all wooden areas are still missing, i have to create first a mass of "pipe cleaner trees".

Champion House with McPhearson´s and Grant´s HQ, Logan and Hovey´s Divisions

Robert´s Farm with the advances of Osterhaus´Division.

Ratliff Farm with Bowen´s Divison as defender. In background the scouting cavalry of Adam come across to the advancing Union colums of Smith and Blair.

And the final train to Vicksburg, after cutoff the Vicksburg-Jackson railroad by Union troops ;)

Reizvoll, aber nakt! I can't wait to see this when it's got all the tree cover installed. Nach das Grossafforstungsprojekt. grin

I didn't get this right, back when I did this battle in 15mm. I didn't have enough model trees! I should really try again. It's an interesting scenario.

PS: I love the train. That's a kind of detail that 2mm is really good for. Larger scale trains can be visually dominating.

Michael, it looks terrific!

Your snake fence element looks like a clever adaptation of some alternative material – what is that if I might ask?

Bayernkini24 Jan 2020 1:53 p.m. PST

The snake fence are from Irregular Miniatures
BG173 – 75mm section of ACW snake fence

But i am looking indeed for an alternate method.
