Hi I'm new in 15mm sci-fi wargaming and have a short question about khurasan miniatures. How are your experience with the shop? I struggle to order from it. For one year the orbital insertion pod is "temporarily out of production" and I wrote an email and ask him when will it be available again. I even ask him on Instagram and he blocked me. Additionally, I read something about an incident on this website and he's banned from the tmp. I don't know but it seems to me not like a good user experience.

I have only good experience with Khurasan miniatures. All orders arrived in time and complete.

I also have had good experiences with ordering from him.

I have had the same experience. A very good vendor.

Thanks,

Pat

Great miniatures but I've had two orders slip through the cracks and arrive late only after I'd contacted him to see where they were. They did show up promptly after that however.

Always had good service from them (I'm in the U.K.), with 7 or 8 orders received complete and on time. Sculpting is good and casting largely flash free. Occasionally he closes the store to new orders if he's away or falling behind with orders on hand (think he's a one-man band with a day job). In my experience, you can order with confidence

I've never had issues with ordering from Khurasan.

He is a one-man shop with a day job and contracts out for his casting, so if something hasn't sold very well he may not be very willing to clog up his house with something that is going to take the next decade to sell out again.

Try Clear Horizon minis for a different drop pod.

Never had an issue

Sigwald17 Oct 2019 11:42 a.m. PST

I've ordered from Khurasan several times over the last few years and always had good service.

Zeelow17 Oct 2019 12:11 p.m. PST

Ditto all of the above.

LtJBSz17 Oct 2019 1:46 p.m. PST

Khurasan is a pleasure to deal with, never had a problem.

Gunner Dunbar17 Oct 2019 5:52 p.m. PST

Always good service for me.

Excellent.

Khurasan is great if you just order from his website. His sci-fi fantasy stuff is getting unwieldy to look through, but he ships quickly and has excellent minis for a good price. I've bought a lot of sci fi and historicals from him. But he is horrible at answering questions about his products unless they directly relate to a purchase. I wouldn't hesitate to buy something from him, but I also wouldn't bother trying to contact him with product questions.

Based in the UK , had a couple of orders with Khurasan and I received excellent service, no problems, recommended.

Another satisfied customer here. Have ordered several times over the years and always got the stuff I wanted and in timely fashion.

Interesting that the OP is a brand new account created on the day this thread was started.
New into 15mm Sci Fi, more like new into wargaming completely

McWong7318 Oct 2019 3:11 a.m. PST

Very happy customer. Any falling out here had no relationship to him as a trader.

Frostie18 Oct 2019 5:29 a.m. PST

Its just a shame they do not have a Uk/European distributor

Into the Slipgate18 Oct 2019 12:11 p.m. PST

Yeah. Thats a new account. I'm not new into wargames unless Gamesworkshop Games, Warmachine and Saga doesn't count. I'm just curious about your opinion about khurasan miniatures. Was that a forbidden question fantasque? Sorry that i wasn't alive when laserburn was released.

Redroom18 Oct 2019 5:30 p.m. PST

If he has it in stock, I've had no problems with it being shipped. If he previewed it 10 yrs ago as 'being available soon', he will never respond to queries about it.

ninthdoc18 Oct 2019 9:16 p.m. PST

Into the Slipgate, there has been some discord of late about manufacturers slipping in advertising and promoting product on the forum and bypassing paying for advertising links. fantasque may have been a little heavy handed in his critique. You coming back to the thread to check it and responding bolsters that you are not sneaking in a promotion of a product.

Saw a similar post on the 15mm sf page, don't think it's a sock puppet.

Into the Slipgate19 Oct 2019 1:15 a.m. PST

No. I just want to take root on other platforms than instagram and some facebook groups. I'm very interested into niece system in the 15mm scale. It seems to me like the perfect scale for wargaming with larger armies. I started with the 4th edition of 40k. After a long break from the hobby. Currently I'm getting back into it.

Thanks for clarifying that. I think his figures look lovely though my interest in 15mm is historical not SF. Would like to buy some but he doesn't have UK distribution and the added cost has put me off so far

McWong7319 Oct 2019 1:44 p.m. PST

He's an single owner operated company, and being in Australia I'm already paying a premium for anything minis related, so postage costs are a fact of my hobby life. His ranges look sensational, and are a joy to own. I've never regretted an order.

Bigby Wolf20 Oct 2019 2:58 a.m. PST

@Slipgate: If I gave you a friendly "Moin, moin", would I get a puzzled expression in return, or a hearty "MOIN!"?

I know Niedersachsen's a huge state, with some pretty extreme subdivisions, so feel free to ignore the Auricher ,-)

Into the Slipgate20 Oct 2019 2:59 a.m. PST

Okay. Thanks guys. I think I will be order some miniatures from him soon. Personally I think the shipping costs are okay.

No problem fantasque.

@ Bigby Wolf Moin. I live near Brunswick/Braunschweig.

Always been great to me. Superb products, fast service, and very responsive to feedback and suggestions.

I'll be another that will attest to the quality of his products. VERY little (if any) flash and great pricing. He can be a little slow on his orders some times as I'm sure you've read that he is probably a one-man band. I had to sit on my hands for a bit while his site was down (I think he was backlogged and went on vacay after he got caught up). I just used that time to try and catch up on my painting and kept an eye out for his return. Whatever your hangup with the product might be, I would definitely recommend the investment in the minis.
