"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has dismissed US calls for a ceasefire in northern Syria and said that he's not worried about American-imposed sanctions, or the advancement of Russian-backed Syrian forces toward the Turkish border. Speaking to journalists traveling on his presidential plane following a visit to Azerbaijan Tuesday, Erdogan said a ceasefire was off the table. "Declare a ceasefire, they say. We will never declare a ceasefire," Erdogan said. "We do not sit at the table with terrorist organizations." Erdogan's comments come as Russian-backed Syrian regime troops on Tuesday gained control of the town of Manbij and surrounding areas, until recently an active US military outpost." Actually, get the popcorn, folks. It's the Russian-backed Syrians versus the Turks (who are trying to buy Russian weapons). EU and US starting sanctions against Turkey. |

Kurds claim Turkey are using banned weapons such as NAPALM and white phosphorus as Erdogan warns nobody – including the US – can stop his incursion into Syria "Kurdish troops have claimed Turkey is using banned weapons such as napalm and white phosphorus as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan warned last night that nobody, not even the US, could stop his incursion into Syria. The Kurdish authorities issued a statement last week condemning the use of 'all available weapons' at the strategic border town of Ras al-Ain, adding that these included 'phosphorus and napalm…." link Main page link Amicalement Armand

napalm or WP esp Wp are not banned. and then by whom? |

Jcfrog, there's a pretty reasonable argument that napalm and WP should be added to the list of chemical weapons. WP is explicitly NOT banned under the Chemical Weapons treaties. |
