Just curious to see if anyone is making figures now, that are compatible in size with the 1st Corps WWII figs? I'd prefer single-piece, metal castings, but will consider all options, if there are any that might work. I seem to recall some mention of the Victory Force Miniatures being larger figs, so think perhaps, of any options, they might be a candidate, since I've read the 1st Corps figs are large 28mm figs. The only problem with them is they are very expensive, so not sure I want to go that route. I need some Americans to fight against the Germans, and sadly, 1st Corps don't seem to make US army infantry or airborne troops. Would love to see them make some Winter figures too (Germans, Americans, and Soviets), but alas, there don't seem to be any on offer, currently. If they were going to dismount before entering the fight, why have armor at all? |

I would suggest Artizan would fit quite well. 1st Corps, while chunky are not particularly tall. Victory Force are very tall and are designed to use the chunky GW style bases which makes them even taller. |

I don't think it's as much the size as the style. The closest would be Artizan. I think 1st Corps have a very distinct look that I don't think fits most ranges. I like the style, but it is distinct. The legs and arms are pretty thick and the cut of the details are exaggerated. The weapons are less exaggerated. |

1st Corps figs have been around for a long time and there are better options out there, but they do have "character." The chunkiness makes them look like kids with chubby hands. Easy Eight Enterprises figures are the closest in style, though I don't know if Neo-Forge still offers them. Beyond that, Crusader Miniatures and early Artizan figures are probably the closest. Later Artizan minis are noticeably slimmer (figures and weapons) without the ballooned pants even though the sculptor is the same (Mike Owen). Luckily all the Artizan Americans (incl. paras) are early sculpts. |
