Go to larenommeeship.com or stockmanbooks.com/downloads for a FREE PDF BOOKLET on the history of the French frigate la Renommée. She was the fastest ship on the seas in the mid-1700s and launched in 1744. The British captured her in 1747 and she was used in the "descents" against the French coast and in the West Indies. Her captains were some of the best, almost all becoming admirals. She sailed for 27 years and was broken up in 1771. Read about her history in the booklet along with information about her construction, captures, commanders, and lots of other fascinating things. And all for FREE!
