Stick with blaming the cat.

Deny, deny, deny………

Yep, the body language, and guilty eyes do seem to point to the one involved in the mayhem. LOL.

The dog must be a true literary critic, R.K. Rowling and the entire series plus 7 Daughters of Eve. You just need to upgrade your reading list. Maybe he prefers the classics? (smile)

I had Labs that did much the same thing, once the two of them ate an entire batch, 3 dozen, Raisin Bran Muffins, I just rolled them around the house for 2 days. To quote my vet, (Dr. Vinnie Boomba) "This too shall pass."

I loaned a paperback to a friend who had to tell me it wasn't coming back because her Bernese Mountain Dog had eaten it.

This proves Groucho Marx was right: outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend, and inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

The dog is obviously just reacting to the human's tone and body language. It doesn't prove anything.

They have do a DNA test on the shredded stuff, and also compare any tooth marks. Call CSI!

It could have been the cat or cats, trying to get the dog in trouble, or it's possible that another dog entered the house caused the damage.

Also, does the human have any young male offspring? They are known to be highly destructive. This could be a case of species profiling, where the human is unwilling to consider that someone of her own species might be the perpetrator.

Loved it! I'm sure he's innocent though, there must be another explanation what actually happened though. :)
