I see Warlord has rat lines on acetate for their Black Seas ships. That's great but there is still acetate between the lines.

I know photo etched brass has been around for a while and was wondering if technology has allowed for laser cut or perhaps 3D printed rat lines.

Laser etched? I don't think so… Most Laser Etching is not clean through the material but rather, etching the surface (glass, metal etc…).

There are tools out there for creating shrouds/ratlines with actual thread. Most are scaled towards larger models.

Somewhere, relatively recently, someone posted a youtube of how to etch copper ratlines at home. Not home now and the phone doesn't have it

Yes, those are definitely available from 3rd parties. You can order sets of ratlines for 1/700 ships here:

Brass photo-etched rat-lines from Langton. I can highly recommend them.
