"With the impeachment debate moving full speed ahead, President Trump may be hard-pressed to move forward on his larger agenda in the months to come. But a few key policy issues are likely to continue to be the subject of intense debate. One, of course, is the president's much-touted and ill-conceived "wall" on the U.S.-Mexico border. Another, less discussed but also close to his heart, is the president's desire to build a Space Force as a sixth branch of the U.S. armed forces, alongside the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard.

How quickly the Space Force develops will depend in part on the outcome of this year's National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, which in the short term at least is focused on parallel proposals to create a "space corps" in the House or a "space command" in the Senate under the supervision of the Air Force, which may or may not be a stepping stone towards a full-fledged Space Force…"

So if impeachment is moving full steam…er, last I heard we were still in the Inquiry portion? Let's not get ahead of ourselves until all evidence is in.

Or we could just let Russia/China get up there first and just count on their benevolent attitudes..'cause they are are oh-so-trustworthy.

There is no such laws about impeachment inquiry, it is or it isn't and right now it's not.
But on the space Force, aliens are out there, best to be prepared.

I suspect the Kabuki Theater going on in D.C. will have no bearing on the creation and fielding of the Space Force.

Its time has come, for better or worse, especially in the digital age, and with our heavy reliance on satellites, GPS, and global communications and surveillance.

We're not even in the official Inquiry portion, as that would allow those under investigation to present evidence of their innocence.

Read the Federal Register, Feinstein did not actually call for an Official Inquiry.
