For domestic reasons I could only attend MOAB on the Monday this year, and there were pros and cons. Not too many games I was interested in – some great looking Bolt Action tables but the much vaunted Fire and Fury game fell through. Picked up some great bargains in the Bring and Buy though, now that they discount prices for the Monday. Good to catch up with Kym, he and his team do such a great job! Also good to catch up with the traders, good on them for hanging on for what must be slim pickings on the Monday…
Saturday or Sunday for me next year though…

Didn't go, 4 other friends who go to just about everything didn't go either.

Went on Saturday and Sunday, caught up with old friends and spent more than I wanted at various traders and the bring n buy. Picked up plenty of Team Yankee bargains from Games Cube, great to see Olympian Games stocking the Legio Heroica range.

Good to see ancients pulling a solid turnout, albeit spread over four gaming systems.

Couldn't find the FoW games, if there were any. V4 really killed that scene in its tracks, at least in Sydney. Really disappointed at that, given that I was getting up to 50 plus players back in the V2 and 3 days.

Surprised at the strong turnout for Star Wars Legion, and surprised that there wasn't any 40k Kill Team events – though a large turnout for 40k overall.

I'll happily chalk 2019 up as a success as a punter. Best moment was my 7 year old son, who is desperate to paint minis, enjoying the painting tables. That, and his question after spending some time watching 40k games "but Daddy, where are the good guys??". Tried to explain agai
that Grimdark doesn't really have good guys, his response being "then why play it?"

May be able to dodge that bullet after all, but tbh I'd rather play 40k with him over SW Legion (too many counters, makes for messy tables).
