I've read it and heard about it before, the special purposes AFVs of the 79th were sometimes referred to as "Funnies". It's also in the first line of the article.

That is what they were called and it came to mind. I though many would know that as well. It is an interesting name for some AFVs, IMO … Nothing more … nothing less … |
