Even if you dont like the army or the period what are the nicest Ancient, Dark Ages or Medieval miniatures ranges you've seen which you'd love to have even if you don't care for that war or period?

Old Citadel historicals, Vikings and others. I have some, would love more. A small 25mm by today's standards, but superbly detailed.

28mm Medieval: Another vote for Antediluvian/Claymore Irish/Scots and Paul Hick's new Barons War range is incredible.

15mm Medieval: Eureka's Catalan almughavars

28mm Dark Age: anything by Footsore.

I bought some Claymore Castings figs just because they were so nice. I'll find a use for them in some ASOBH warbands.

Resin: VV and Westfalia. Westfalias haflings are among the most historical authentic on the market :-)

Plastic: The 15th century Perry plastics, both early and late.

Metal: Steel Fist Miniatures: Gensdarmes, Landsknecht, Samurai

Might be a bit of nostalgia clouding my memory, but I loved the Ral Partha Imports Romans

Steel Fist Italian Wars.

I'll never get around to the period, but they are stunning.
