… During The Military Parade In Beijing. "China yesterday celebrated the 70th anniversary of its founding with a military parade that involved some 15,000 soldiers. As troops marched across Beijing's Tiananmen Square in unison, one servicewoman stood out from the crowd. Only nationalistic or totalitarian states need to trot out their high-stepping women in "patriotic" parades for propaganda purposes.

Oh….behave But I wasn't quite done yet. Oh alright. My vote's for the air force blue uniformed Ukrainians in the second to last pic. Can't go wrong with blondes and ponytails. |

There is a clear distinction between "high stepping" and "goose stepping". When I see goose stepping I think North Korea and other totalitarian regimes. I think the Iranians do it too. Why would any military in the world continue such a practice, especially one that was used by the nazis. As for the photos above; I think most of those ladies look sharp, except for the ones goose stepping. Goose stepping just scares the crap out of me. |

Why any military would want to gooses-step is beyond me, it destroys the troops knees! |

Has no one told the Chinese that go-go boots detract from the overall military bearing? |

I attended a debrief by a Czech deserter in 1981. One of the female MI officers asked what his attitude was toward female soldiers. He responded that female soldiers die as easily as men. |

"Has no one told the Chinese that go-go boots detract from the overall military bearing?". Oh, come now, those seem to fit in quite well, and will be superb in snowy environments. I must say though, that I also like the spiked-heel shoes too. No doubt, they'll make excellent weapons in close, hand-to-hand-to-foot combat. You can put an eye, or eyes out with those, and/or cause some significant puncture wounds with them, especially to ribs, lungs, etc.. The non-standard one with the little, thin strap across the heel can also probably be used as a garrote, if needed, too. |

North Korea, first row 1st and 2nd look like they should try out as place kickers for the Denver Broncos. The Cubans look like they'd capture you, tie you up, feed you one hell of a meal, then settle down to a long, understanding, but determined course of reeducation on the evils of capitalism. |
