A crowdfunding company has been announced in Russia to raise funds to create a film about the Soviet woman-ace Lydia Litvyak. The same team that made the film "28 Panfilov Mens" is working on the film.
Lydia Litvyak was a Soviet fighter pilot who destroyed 12 Nazi aircraft in air battles. She died in an air battle in 1943. She was 21 years old at the time of her death.

The first teaser. It is too early to judge the quality of filming by it, but judging by the previous film, it should be at a fairly high level (at least in terms of reflecting the material part).

YA historical fiction that she appears in is "Among the Red Stars" by Gwen Katz. It's primarily about the Night Witches. Good book, folks here will grind their teeth at some inaccuracies, but there's not a lot in the way of air combat books for girls!

I dont know Cuprum the starting up sequence looked excellent! If the rest of the film lives up to it will be a very good movie. Thanks for posting.
