Tool Bench Hardware Painters Tape

Why do wargamers need painters tape, and is the dollar-store variety good enough?

I found this quote on Parusa I3 site. for eliminating stringing, not something I had heard of.

Or just use a heat gun! – If you don't feel like tweaking any of the settings, well, then there is an alternative. You can get rid of the strings with a heat gun (or possibly with a lighter – but be very careful). Set it to around 200°C and aim at the strings for one or two seconds. This will melt the strings, and the printed object should remain undamaged.

That will work for light stringing, but I would still encourage people to get their settings right.

I agree with Andrew. Slow down the print rate and make sure you're using retraction.

tweak your settings and have your culinary torch handy, i say!

It might be temperature, too.

With some very thin minor stringing it works a treat. I just waved it under a very small lighter flame very quickly. For very thin strings its an option.
