Just in case anyone hasn't tried this, this is our take on the tried and true "pan scourer" hedgerow recipe:

Thanks for posting. I picked some up and they are on the work bench to try out.

You could probably just use a dark brown as the first coat and skip the black primer altogether.

I have doubled them over and glued them together for a thicker hedge.

@old grenadier- thanks man!

@fitzovich- nice one, glad to help- look forward to seeing the results 🙂

@flashman- actually, yeah, you could- that said, our pound shop only has white, grey and black spray primers.

@ColCampbell- dude, they look good! Nice work mate 👍

I use a similar method for nicely trimmed hedges. For wild bocage I use the horse hair recovered from my grandparents' armchair when they were scrapped afte 50 years of service. I stick this to pre-painted card using double-sided clear tape, smear it in PVA and dunk it in a mix of flock, scatter granules and the like. I can do 12" of hedge in about 10 minutes (excluding drying time)

Did the same as ColCampbell…mine weren´t as neat though :-)

Planning to try this by just painting on Minwax Polyshades Urethane Stain, Royal Walnut color. Hoping to avoid flocking (time, effort, shedding…), except for the base, of course. If it works as well as I hope, it would be even faster. Cheers!

Love it all. Thanks.

I also used scouring pads to make vineyards and olive groves, as can be seen here:

Dude, that is a SWEET vineyard! Given that Dan and I are partial to a few wines while gaming, I think we should definitely make something similar..
