Particularly for our cousins across the pond, there are an excellent series of WW2 history Podcasts called "We have ways of making you talk" hosted by James Holland and Al Murray. Al Murray is better known in the UK as a comedian known as "The Pub Landlord" but with a keen interest in History. James Holland is the week known British historian who has recently published a new book on Normandy 1944 as well as numerous WW2 histories. They are doing a series of podcasts at the moment chroniclingMarket Garden day by day. I can heartedly recommend their podcasts – very inspiring. play.acast.com/s/wehaveways Don |

Thanks Don! I ran into this obliquely the other day, but was too busy to investigate further. This is a great link. I just wish they were freely downloadable without having to go through a third party, like "Car Talk" on NPR. |

Despite his fame as a comedian, Al Murray has proper credentials in the form of a Degree in history from Oxford… |

Al Murray's father was a Colonel in the Parachute Regiment. |
