Some plastic popcorn tubes from Dollar Tree yield some quick and easy 28mm scale multi-genre buildings.

Excellent work! I found some cheap metal planters this shape at a craft store and did pretty much the same thing. Was able to magnetize the details so it could go from a scifi to a fantasy building with a few clicks. The shape always said "non descript tower in a Conan novel" and also looks good with a Radar dish or comm array. |

Agreed: they make great not-Egyptian desert peoples' towers; would make excellent objectives in an Army Men game, with a small dish on top, or some sort of antenna. Filing this away, into the Long-Term Memory cells, for future reference. Cheers! |

Yes, really nice. I found a couple of plant vases (flower pots) shaped like this, in resin. They are about 18" tall. |

Magnetized scifi bits sounds like a great idea. I will be trying that on the next one. |

"non descript tower in a Conan novel Exactly! Those are great work. Putting things you find to interesting uses is one of the joys of our hobby. |
