"The board has plates describing Swedish army uniforms of the GNW. Information is from Swedish museums, Höglund's indispensable books, Tacitus and other sources. Everything can be argued – we have few pictures and muster rolls and purchase orders are short on design. Colours as ‘blommerant' and ‘aurora' leave us wondering. There are 3 surviving uniform coats, so we know what officers' coats were like, and we know European uniform fashion was French at the time. The rest is inspired guessing…"
