"The Wheatcroft Collection has around 200 items, including more than 130 vehicles, of which 88 are tanks. The majority of the collection is of German, American and British origin, with a smaller number of vehicles from, Japan, France, and Russia. The owner of the collection, Kevin Wheatcroft, has been collecting military vehicles for over 40 years.

The collection is perhaps notable for having a number of extremely valuable and rare Second World War-era German military vehicles, including a number of Panther tanks, one of which is close to full restoration. A number of rare Tiger tanks, both I and II as well as StuG assault guns, Panzer III's, and a Panzer IV tanks…."

Not complimentary to this private collection. Shame, that it is not viewable, and seems there are some disgruntled collectors out there

Wow. I was totally unaware of the "Wheatcroft Collection," much less that so much time, effort, expertise--and obviously--MONEY was being put into so broad a restoration project of so many WW II era AFV's, and more.

If nothing else, I hope this means that in time this far wider and larger availability of "runners" will eventually begin to appear in films for maximum authenticity.

And the reference to rebuilding a flyable Stuka is kind of awesome all by itself!

I wish all concerned parties and organizations the very best of luck in these efforts.

The collection was recently featured on a T.V. show called, "Strange Inheritance". They shown the BIG collection…even the host was able to drive in a tank with Kevin.
