Just for fun . . .

My weekly tome for The Wargamer, a GMT review, per the Editor – "Blue Cross, White Ensign is a hex & counter board war game by GMT Games that's an excellent example of Age of Sail warfare at scale. With new digital games in this era on the horizon, we thought we'd round-off this gap in our review library."

Good review, Bill. I have WS&IM and have played COA's Close Action, which was maybe a bit too involved (large actions could take day or more of gaming!). I've been curious about this series, so it was good to see your review.

Have the original game and Ship of the Line expansion. Played several times but not in a while. Most gaming friends still found it too fiddly and I did find the multiple charts and multipliers for determining a broadside a little more involved than I liked. Makes me want to try again though.
