Greetings,

Late 17th – early 18th Century is not my usual period, but I'm searching for a 28mm character/personality figure or a senior officer figure who looks the part. Best case scenario there would be both mounted and foot versions of the same figure, but not a requirement. Sincere thanks in advance for any and all assistance!

I'd love for the figure to be wearing a breastplate, as in this portrait of the man:

Can't help with your quest but that is some serious sleevage going on there!

Dixon's Miniatures 25mm Grand Alliance range EG2 Pioneer Group link includes an officer on foot with map (or plan of a fortification…), he is wearing the right sort of boots and breast and back plates but the ends of the sash round his waist hang over the front right of his coat, he has no sash over his shoulder (but this could be added with filler) and he is wearing a lobsterpot helmet.

There is a line drawing here PDF link

@Cedric: Agreed!

@Sigwald & Jon Armatys: There are a couple of good possibilities there. Many thanks to you both!

Old Glory's Pirates range has a set called Royal Governors that has a great assortment of bewigged people. Warfare Miniatures is worth a look too.

Thank you, DAF!

Any/all additional recommendations will be most welcome…

For the sake of any future TMPers who find their way to this thread, I'm adding another great Vauban mini choice that was recommended to me by Nick Eyre of North Star; it's Wargames Illustrated's "Giants In Miniature" John Churchill, 1st Duke of Marlborough figure --

A "limited edition" but still available as of today, via this LINK:

Further recommends still very welcome!
