the size of the board

Lascaris12 Sep 2019 4:46 p.m. PST

I play TY on either a 6'x9' or a 6'x12' so I'm good with the board size :) (150 points also)

Yea, just switch to a larger board if using 1/100th minis, or alternatively, use smaller ones on the regulation board.

If using the same size board and 1/100th minis, I suggest tripling the weapons ranges, and keeping the movement rates the same. Perhaps reduce the speed of foot infantry relative to vehicles as well, if desired.

What I do dislike is the cost. Battlefront vehicles are very nice but darn they are expensive!

Thresher0112 Sep 2019 7:18 p.m. PST

Actually, compared to some others, in various scales, I think they are reasonably priced.

Use the same board, but use 1/285 scale vehicles! very fun!

Patrick R13 Sep 2019 2:45 a.m. PST

The ground vs model scale is indeed off which leads to parking lot syndrome, a common problem in vehicle heavy games.

I think too that they are reasonably priced, however the quantity of vehicles needed to play a regular 100 points game doesn't make it tactical anymore and really well suited for 15mm scale.

Good suggestions.
But we all know that BF's tournament games
must use their minis and their table size.

200 points and 5x12 table.
No tournaments for me.
