Using cocktail sticks for many things, except cocktails, I was left with a couple of empty hard plastic boxes…

Currently WiP the boxes being hard plastic make a good substrate to attach things, they take styrene glue well, and being slightly tapered look good. And for those of us in the UK available from Tesco for 25p!

The turrets are from Brigade Miniatures and I'd recommend their spaceship and aeronef turrets to anyone likes building their own spacecraft.

Brilliant! I look forward to seeing the next steps.

Pretty much done, though I'll see if I can rustle up some decals. Possible a bit sparing on the detailing and the turrets might have looked better if slightly larger. The hard plastic means that it would be real easy to add more surface texture using plastic card.

I like the concept – they have a Borg-esque feeling to them.

Could use some windows or identifiable surface details (hatches, etc.) to give a sense of scale.

Designed to be essentially scale-less anyway, but yes could use some more surface detailing…

Okay, passing my local Tesco today, I noticed the plastic boxes are gone replaced with card ones!

On a side note I'd be really interested to know what they did with the remaining plastic boxed stock, since I'm pretty certain they didn't shift a couple of trays worth of cocktail sticks in two weeks (we're not really a hot bed of cocktail drinking, and cocktail sticks with cubes of cheese on for kids parties are a thing of past)…
