No, Old Fritz would say "not enough grenadiers!"

I know this may run counter to the "no advertising on the message boards" rule but could somebody please tell me which manufacturer made the figures?

alexkalinin09 Sep 2019 7:50 a.m. PST

Many thanks, my friends!

Beautiful painting, Alex. A question, if I may? Is that the only type of standard supplied by Old Glory with their Prussian Cuirassiers? The reason behind my question is that I had always thought that only the Garde du Korps carried that ‘labarum' style of standard, and all the other Cuirassier regiments had the more normal type of flag hanging directly from the lance, rather than suspended from a crosspole.

Thank you very much!
Old Glory delivers both types of banner in his set, both regular and such.
I suspect that you are right and I did not provide these cuirassiers with the correct standard. Thanks for pointing this out.

Alex, I have just checked on my ‘go to' website for anything to do with the Seven Years War. kronoskaf.com it appears that this type of standard was only used by the Garde du Korps. Kronoskaf is a tremendous source, if you haven't found it already, even down to the particular colours of horses used by certain regiments! Anyway, thanks again for posting, it will inspire me to do better with my Saxon Grenadiers!

Thanks so much for the advice!
This is a wonderful site, I use it, but I was not attentive enough.
Good luck with your Saxons!
