Are you saying I had better read your dice for you if we play a game?

That and ready action not gaining any fatigue?

You really should send me a copy of the rules so I can be sure. :)

haha… dice I didn't need to "misread" Mars was watching after me in critical times.. plus those balearic slingers must have been bribed..

nope… ready action does not gain fatigue. That was a good insight from playtesting.

Fatigue is very critical for armored units, gaining fatigue for ready actions, which is what you have to use to get another pilum ready if you used one, resulted on armored troops suffering too much… so observing the game being played we learned that we needed to give ready a pass on the fatigue..

It is actually in the recovery phase..

In the recovery phase ever unit recovers one fatigue point for each action out of three that they didn't take during the turn… this is critical because it is an effective way to recover troops , give them a break. Of course usually the enemy doesn't give them a break to you need to support them with other fresh troops..

Well in that recovery phase I recovered the fatigue on my velites though they had taken three actions.. I didn't realized I had picked up the red action token already.. honest mistake..

BUT, the truth is that by that time the Italians had lost… with all their lights and medium troops out of the game the heavy campanina hoplites had no chance… they were just getting tired and it was only a matter of time…

we didn't call it because it was good to take the game to the actual end for the video…

The rules are getting close… only the actual layout and printing remains.. everything has been written.. all the pictures taken..

While they work on layout we'll start preparing only supporting material.. the point system ( for people to come up with their lists for other periods ) .. playtest lists for everyone to playtest the next supplements..

The immediate expansions like cesarians, early imperials, germans and dacians…

And I'm doing demos almost every weekend here in Austin, while other teams demo in Atlanta, Germany and other places…
