They are a brownish shade.

I have no strong feelings on the subject, but push a space orc out an airlock and I'm pretty sure he's gonna trend toward blue.

It depends on what part of space they're from, doesn't it?

I have never heard of a blue ork. Maybe if he forgot his space suit in his rush out the airlock to get to the fight.

Blue is just a weird shade of green. And since these are space orks, they probably don't get much sun. So I'll go with Blue. Did I win anything?

Mine are green.

It's really interesting how color works. The old adage "blue and yellow make green" is scientific hogwash. There is a semi-eponymous book on the subject.

We see yellow, because the surface of the object/paint absorbs all the other wavelengths of light other than yellow.

We see blue, because the surface of the object/paint absorbs all the other wavelengths of light other than blue.

If we mix blue and yellow, they mutually cancel one another out. The "yellow" element is now absorbing the blue, and the "blue" element is now absorbing the yellow. What we end up seeing is the, I guess you could call it the "recessive," wavelengths that had previously been masked.

Blue and yellow do not make green.

Blue and yellow LIBERATE! green.

Freak everyone out. Paint your orc flesh in a Campbell tartan.

Green… due to the algae/mushrooms they eat (apparently).

Deathskulls paint themselves with blue warpaint though :) .

Green.

Not blue, but grey though, and beige on at least one occasion (okay probably more khaki in reality), to add a bit of variety.

Mine are purple.

My fantasy orcs are brownish, with a hint of green. My science fantasy are GW (even if I don't play GW games), so are GREEN. Waugh!

So, no one's pointing out that the Ork is painted up like Marvel's character Cable?

And the painted orc is green--just wearing blue (at least on my screen).

And yes, definitely a Cable orc.
