I was not familiar with his story. Very interesting. Hard to guess what would have transpired later. Not much air to air in a P39 but give him a better plane and it might have been amazing.

I'd not heard of him before I read Richard's article, either. Obviously a very skilful pilot, it's interesting to speculate on what might have been.
