Been searching past couple years on Napolianic boards, searched every which way by battle and commander, it's in a book I have but can't find which. So sadly have to ask.
P.S. -if you haven't, take a look at old threads,

Do you mean Gohrde by any chance as there is no battle of Goethe listed in the Napoleonic Wars Data Book?

14Bore01 Sep 2019 7:13 a.m. PST

Yes, even just looked on the Napoleonic series where I constantly have up the Borodino oob.
I did spell it correctly in TMP search, maybe auto cucumber took over.

Stoppage01 Sep 2019 8:07 a.m. PST

Nafziger's Imperial Bayonets mentions the Battle of Gohrde in the musketry effects section.

BillyNM01 Sep 2019 8:11 a.m. PST

I'm with the 'Prince'; there is no battle of Goethe – unless Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (German poet, playwright, novelist, scientist, statesman, and critic) was fought over, perhaps by the beneficiaries of his will?

Camcleod01 Sep 2019 8:46 a.m. PST

From Wikipedia :)

"Goethe took part in the Battle of Valmy against revolutionary France, assisting Duke Karl August of Saxe-Weimar-Eisenach during the failed invasion of France." ??????????????

What was the date of the Battle ?

Really looking for Wallmoden's Corp job, Russian-German legion, Hanoverarians, British contingent.
I think autocorrect took over the title and there is no getting that back.

von Winterfeldt01 Sep 2019 10:35 a.m. PST

in case it involves Wallmoden etc. it is battle of the Göhrde in 1813 – Gohrde is wrong spelling and won't produce a lot of hit numbers.

By rights missing 1 Battalion of R-D infantry, only have 6 of 7. And no cossacks are shown though have more than most not dedicated for this. And my KGL Hussars are the 1st, not the 3rd.
Nice little army altogether.
