You were asked – TMP link

So what do you find to be the most annoying nationally televised advertisement?

And in the final round of voting:

21% said "prescription drugs"
14% said "Verizon ads featuring scrawny metrosexual hipster spokestwit"
11% said "Progressive ads with that stupid talking box"

Apparently you or they haven't seen the new ad for Stanley Steamer, where the baby pretend vomits on TV, live.

Almost lost my own cookies over that one, which I expect is/was the point, so they can be called out to clean your carpet after they make you vomit with their ad.

Disgusting.

They'll never, EVER get any business from me due to that.

Brilliant marketing! (Sarcasm intended for the idiots involved in creating this travesty)

I have to agree with the results regarding prescription drugs. I would also add in the Cable Noise networks (CNN, MSNBC and Fox Deleted by Moderator) that feature Breathless 24/7 Breaking News hyped up with manufactured drama that is only intended to fill airtime between ads for drugs we never knew we needed.

Between YouTube and Hulu commercials have snuck back into my life. Thankfully, most of the ones people complain about online are unknown to me. But I do find ads for prescription drugs for uncommon conditions to be curiously annoying.

If I were doing an ad for a carpet cleaner I would feature a cat. Cats throw up on the carpet a lot more than babies. A lot more. And people like animals. And babies stop throwing up, if you take care of them properly, anyway. Cats like to eat grass…
