For a new project I decided to paint some Empress Miniatures using the new Citadel Contrast Paint.

I first painted 3 minis as a test :

I'm now painting 15 new minis

Interesting, did you use the colours straight from the pots or did you mix any. Also, did you thin any?

I am planning to use them soon and would like your method!

Directly from the pots except that I tried today an alternate method for the african-american skin (darker) : mix one half of cygor brown and one half of Fireslayer.

For the M16A1, I use the following method

- Space wolves grey on the metal parts. Once it dried, a layer of Basilicanum grey on the rifle (stock + metal parts). Finally a layer of Templar Black on the stock.

Those are looking pretty good, and seems like the contrast paints are really saving on time.

So here is the final result with my uderstrength platoon

It took me about eight hours to paint the last fifteen figures. So ~30mn per mini is really fine and the result is tabletop+.
