As a past President of HMGS-South a bit prejudiced. I think it is a great convention as is RECON in April. The hotel is finishing up renovations which will make a great venue even better but does mean a bit further walk to the attached convention center than our usual rooms. Lots of great games. Friendly folks. Very good venue. Be more than happy to chat with you at the show, even pay for the first drink! I usually get in early thursday afternoon. If you have any trouble locating me, and most folks know me, just ask the lovely lady helping out at registration, my wife :) Looking forward to meeting you and getting your feedback. Just because it is a great show doesnt mean it can't get even better! Marc |

Danke, I relocated from Kentucky to PCB. It's a wasteland in the panhandle for chaps like us. |

Clay, South does a really great con. And you can't beat the food choices OR the weather ! |

Clay, I agree with all the above although I will not make Hurricon this year. FYI: Tallahassee has a small but enthusiastic group. Email me at treacypr at yahoo dot com for details on our next club event, probably 9/7 in Tallahassee. Pat Treacy aka lewis cannon |

I will be there with Time Portal Hobbies. I have over 50 board games and nearly 460 books. Over 2,000 dice for 25 cents d6 and polyhedral. Some minis and a lot of terrain. |

Be nice to go but that is a distance to travel from Atlanta. |

It is and probably Siege of Augusta a closer drive for you but still both Recon and Hurricon well worth the drive. Great gaming in the South. In addition to the ones mentioned you could drive to Rapier in Jacksonville rapiercon.com Nashcon in Cool Springs outside Nashville link And the grand daddy of them all and a really terrific convention, Southern Front, in Raleigh-Durham link In fact you are sort of in the middle of all the action! |

Marc, I have some 1/35 plastic models of Tiger I and a pershing or Bulldog. Do you think there is any interest. |
Marc33594 | 20 Sep 2019 4:05 a.m. PST |
I am thinking not Rudy though others going to the con may want to chime in. I have seen a number of 1/35th scale kits in the flea market go begging. Only when folks were trying to basically give them away did they sell. See you in less than a week! Marc |

They are to bulky to take on a whim. I had rather bring more books and terrain. See you next week. |

I am packed and ready to pull out in the morning before the sun rises. Looking forward to the trip and seeing my friends. |

Anyone know about how many people attend Recon vs Hurricon? |
Marc33594 | 25 Oct 2020 4:30 a.m. PST |
There used to be a difference but last few years both shows draw about the same number. |
