The head of simulations is a leading member of Wargame Developments

We got an invitation to go down and play wargames … try out the Army's simulations, clamber on tanks etc.

I took down the Northamptonshire Battlefields Society's Edgcote 1469 game …

We played everything from the Wars of the Roses to modern crisis games and a Western Gunfight. I was not very good in the computer simulation of the contemporary rescue mission.

We played the Medieval battle a couple of times with a good mix of events coming out. Great stuff.

For a few more tanks try Phil's 20th Century blog

For more on the Edgcote games try the Shows North blog

And there's an Edgcote Armies page

Great to take a traditional wargame to a serious simulations lab. Hope you enjoy the content.
