I gather from other discussions that Blue Moon makes very fine 15mm civilians for AWI and FIW. I have the FIW common folk and the pirate range civilians from Blue Moon. Both are roughly compatible with my Minifigs and Essex miniatures of the same period, only a few being too tall. Now I understand that some gamers/ collectors are also using the "Sleepy Hollow" range town folk. Having purchased some Blue Moon "Horror" range Egyptians and western explorers for British empire colonial types I'm a bit leery of ordering Ichabod Crane and crew from the same range as I wonder if the figures will be extra tall as the colonials were. Anyone have a recommendation here? Cheers!

Probably. All my blue moon ACW figures are like 18mm. I think most of the range is like that. |

I have some Seven Years War, Birth of a Nation, MexAm, ACW, and Wild West 18s. They all seem fairly well compatible. |

Thanks, Stew art, DJCoaltrain, for the input. I have the Blue Moon Old West townsfolk and also the Blue Moon horror London townsfolk. The former are shorter, smaller in general than the latter. The smaller ones are roughly compatible with Minifigs, there are more of the taller variety in the Horror range, I've discovered. Both ranges have taller and shorter figures. If they're too tall I'm not inclined to use them. Cheers! Gallo |
