I imagine you could do it multiple times, though getting it to work after the first "zing" may be questionable.

In fact, if it doesn't work after that first "throw" (if you will), I suspect it might be "zinged" multiple times by the user/owner.

If it was more of a cube and had numbers on the sides, it could still be used as a D6 after the batteries die.
I wish them luck, but there are most likely already apps out there that do the same thing…
