My latest post records my attempts at creatinga Star Wars inspired bunker for my "Alternate Start wars" project.

Not everything went to plan, but Bunker v2.0 is pretty cool…and pretty cheap.

Go here for details:

You have some really neat ideas/projects, like this one too

Looks neat.

Thanks for sharing.

I agree, $85 USD for a plastic bunker is rather daft. It certainly looks nice, but that is a crazy price.

Very cool

Looks really good!

I would have bought a lot more of those wedges, though.

Thanks all. As I had some 'free' time last night, I have now constructed the roof of the bunker, so all that needs doing now is some judicious spray-painting, so I should complete this within the August deadline. Still not worked out the best way to create a control panel for the entrance – I may have to venture into the Aladdin's Cave of Crap I call my loft and see if I can appropriate something suitable from the boxes of toys up there.

Lion in the Stars – Whilst these particular wedges were on offer, they're usually about £2.50 GBP a pack and come in a variety of slightly different styles, so not exactly a bank-breaker. However, creating modular sci-fi corridors using plastic guttering might prove a bit more expensive – but still less than commercially available products.
