Hi, The question is quite a simple one. I can't think of a ruleset that would best reflect the static Wagenburg tactics vs the highly mobile (if somewhat futile) tactics of Sigismund. Has anyone got any ideas that might help? Pic included for the fun of it!

On what level? Skirmish? Squad based? Unit based? Strategical? Many rules do have provisions for field fortifications, but not all produce the results you would expect from the historical engagements by the Hussites vs. the various factions that fought against them, mainly Imperials. |

28mm Set Piece Battle. Many rules do have provisions for field fortifications, but not all produce the results you would expect from the historical engagements by the Hussites vs. the various factions that fought against them, mainly Imperials. Yeah, I agree 100%, thus my question :) Kind Regards |

DBMM does quite a good job of modelling the Wagenburg. Field of Glory would work, too. I'd normally recommend To the Strongest but I don't think is has suitable rules for Hussites. |

That's unfortunate as I've had some great games of To the Strongest and I'm not really a fan of DBMM nor Field of Glory as I find the rules very dry and a bit boring. Thanks for your suggestions though. Kind Regards |

I would have to disagree with Mr. Ward in that Field of Glory do not model the Hussite Wars very well. I've tried many times, but the results are not what is to be expected. L'Art de la Guerre also has the same problems as FOG. Maybe DBMM works, but I do not know. I think that Armati did a better job, but still not great. |
