This is our first playtest game with the revised Redoubt rules. I'll be tweaking rules and statlines, as well as adding new mechanics, as playtesting continues.

I'm not generally much for sci-fi or post-apocalyptic gaming, but I always dig small unit actions and that fight was a blast to read, thanks for posting! V/R, Jack |

Just Jack – I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm going for a narrative "feel" somewhere between a Western and modern Afghanistan. The rules have been tweaked more; my goal right now is to provide the player with a lot of options – ambushes, diversions, deceptions, indirect fire, electronic warfare, area fires, reconnaissance, UAVs, things like that – that aren't typically available in wargames. As always, the decision:resolution time ratio is critical. |
