Went to this on Friday. It's the biggest D-Day Reenactment in the US ! I try to go every year. The county Veterans' Service Commission loads Vets up on a fancy coach bus with A/C. Gives us lunch, water, juice & soda. Drive us up from Youngstown, OH. My home town, it's about an hour & 1/2 North of Youngstown, in Conneaut, OH along Lake Erie. We even had one local WWII Vet with us. Great Time !

Road on a WWII vintage Landing Craft too ! Wish I could have gone on Sat. But my neuropathy and arthritis on my feet were killing me. Can't wait until next year ! I loved the whole event, even had female reenactors dress in period military and civil clothing with hair and make up from the 40s. "What a dish !" evil grin link

If it wasn't on the far corner I would have loved to see it

As long as we repelled those damned Wolverines at the water line. I hope the Toledo flank is still holding. H

I got back from Conneaut at oh dark thirty this morning, since I had to play Modern Army.

I was a Section Commander in the Canadian platoon.

It was an awesome weekend. We got soaked on Friday on the boats. The whole platoon was switched on all weekend. Great time with great friends I don't get to see near enough.

"Right NOW!" (inside joke….)

Wow .. 150 WW2 vets… that is amazing if you figure their ages now. Wish I could see this one next year.
