Here my current ready armies, to play with the AoF rules, overal 60 units/bases. But i will expand both, to play also the large AoF scenarios like
Antietam (128), Fredericksburg (138), Gettysburg (127).
The brackets shows the overall units/bases which i need then for the scenarios, so i have still a lot of work ;)

Can you say a word about your painting technique? Looks like your Confederates have mixed color pants at 2mm scale? |

I kept the painting very simple and fast, because 2mm on
"gaming distance" needs not much accuracy. So the units get a base primer, the CS in grey e.g.
Then i did some colored brushtrokes in the botom half of the unit,
with different colors (most a blue and brown tone).
And same on top half of unit, to depict different colors of shirts. Those closeup should show it better.
I didnt tried to paint/indicate such things as rifles or hands, those you really didnt see in 2mm in gaming
distance.
So i can say, thinking about the look of the bases and its implementation takes longer time as painting the units on the base ;) |
