And once that has been established might I suggest it would be a positive step if a private conversation could take place with Dave Brown and perhaps find a way to reach reconciliation? |

I tend to be a passive observer on here. I have had two accounts over the years. This is due to deleting email accounts. Bill you do a great job with TMP. It's not easy to balance topics whilst keeping members from posting issues that are overly political. As other people have mentioned; the word Troll has more than one meaning now. Trolls on TMP would be idiots with nothing to do but cause trouble and strife on posts. Though I do remember an incident, back in 2015, where a so-called member's name was published by yourself. You claimed to have received a message from a person using someone's real life name. The name that you posted about was found by the real person of that name. They had Googled themselves and were astonished that they were linked to such a strange post and linked to a website they had not heard of before. They had no link or interest in TMP or gaming and were unhappy you published a variant of the name. I would imagine this would have created concern for the person involved. The post was kept and is still easy to find. I would imagine using someone's real name in such a manner would have caused issues. I hop on here every now and again as I'm too busy with real life events and wish I had more time to engage in discussions and the posts. I miss my gaming life! Regards Bruce W |

…I suggest it would be a positive step if a private conversation could take place with Dave Brown and perhaps find a way to reach reconciliation? That has happened, he is reinstated. Though I do remember an incident, back in 2015, where a so-called member's name was published by yourself. You claimed to have received a message from a person using someone's real life name. The name that you posted about was found by the real person of that name. The post was kept and is still easy to find. I would imagine using someone's real name in such a manner would have caused issues. I don't remember this. Please PM me with info. I remember, a number of years ago, an irate TMP member contacting me to complain that another member was using his family name! It turned out (ahem) they both had the same unusual last name. No foul. |

Woo hoo – Dave is back, sanity is restored. Glad to see – I would hate to lose him (as I have met him, and he is a thoroughly decent chap, and writes rules I like). Mind you, I would hate to lose Rich of Lard fame (even though I haven't met him, and don't particularly get on with his rules) – I find his threads and responses interesting to read and think on |

Oh, good ! Maybe I can ask Mr. Brown for some tips on how to retain my posterior when playing GdB ! And as for TFL – I like that their rules cover periods I like AND can also game with other rules, finding no real issues between two different sets designed to accommodate the same period/issues. Examples: I enjoy BTH, CY6 AND the Blue Sky series of air combat games. Probably silly of me, but there it is. |
