I'm looking for a hex terrain system like Kallistra's Hexon II, GHQ Terrainmaker, Geohex, etc. with 3" hexes: hex-based, modular, 3D, geomorphic, etc. I haven't seen anything. Have you? I really like nearly everything about the Kallistra Hexon system, except the cost and 4" hex size. I could get over the cost if the hexes were 3" instead. I already have 3" hex mats, I'm not looking for more. In fact, one of the things I want a 3" hex terrain system for is enhancing my terrain mats – with islands, coasts, hills plateaus, forests, towns, farms, whatever. Suggestions welcome. - Ix |

You could always buy 3" wooden hexes from LITKO. |

Rig up a foam cutter and make your own? A buddy does this and his is adjustable. Maybe search the web? |

Litko is a good suggestion. I'm not thrilled about their choices of materials, but I'll keep that in mind. |

Maybe, but I never saw Sigwald's cool idea to use plates to make a hex grid. - Ix |
