It varies depending on the subject, so I reckon a 5 will do. Some of them are fun.

Like TGerritson a 2, I consider them for the most part to be a silly wast of space and time. I really dislike the attempts to use them to justify many of the folders or statements that they represent the views of some sort of significant majority since they rarely get treated "scientifically"

I only look if I am interested in the subject when Bill posts about it.
I usually disagree with the results, but hey, that's just me!

2. Actually, maybe as high as 7 or 8 for something (a) actually wargaming-related and (b) not altogether a matter of taste. But most polls are strictly opinion. And for the polls that keep cropping up asking about bands and non-military music, even 1 would be too high a score. They lower my overall opinion of TMP.

I'm with etotheipi. If a poll doesn't turn out the way I want I lose sleep. Sometimes for weeks at a time.

I used to be a 10, and made a point of voting on all of them (even if it was "no opinion"), but the proliferation of multi-round polls, combined with the sheer volume we've had for the past year or so, has made me lose interest. Now I generally don't even look at any polls with multiple rounds, and if there are a bunch of them I don't bother weeding through them to find the rest.

10 – as a wargaming hipster I need to be on trend all the time and I use the polls to set my moral compass too.

I've always found Poles to be charming, hospitable people.

Additionally, poles are useful in fencing and many other rural practices.

The geographical poles, sadly becoming de-nuded of ice are useful in determining position.

TMP polls? Not really on the radar.
